The BIC core knowledge and skills are centered around the areas of accounting, finance, and restructuring. For some projects, additional specialist knowledge is needed. Think about the special legal experience needed for M&A (merger and acquisition)-activities. Think about the tax knowledge required to judge the effects of different possible transactions in a restructuring project on hidden reserves, and its taxation, or think about the special requirements of a formal audit process. Considering the serious consequences of a wrong decision in these areas, BIC prefers to crosscheck its own results with experienced experts in these areas, and sometimes to fully integrate these experts into the project team, without giving up the advantage of the one-stop-shop for a customer working with BIC, and without giving up the responsibility for the overall project management.
Companies being members of the BIC partner network are companies with which BIC has long and trusted business relationships, and, if possible, has already worked with in common projects. With all these companies, BIC entered into a framework agreement to ensure that the rigid working standards and principles of BIC, on which our clients rely, are valid for our partners too.
